Organizations sometimes treat training like a benefit given after someone proves themselves.
That reverses the logic. Training is part of the infrastructure that allows people to prove themselves accurately.
Judgment without development creates bad data
If a person is placed into a role without clear expectations, adequate instruction, feedback, or access to someone who understands the work, poor performance does not tell us only about the person. It also tells us something about the system that prepared them.
This is especially important when operators become leads, leads become supervisors, or technical performers are promoted into people leadership. A title changes responsibility faster than it changes capability.
My experience in manufacturing taught me to look at training before blame. My study of industrial-organizational psychology has given me better language for why that matters.
The formal training modules I intend to build through Vision LEON will eventually draw from The Work Came Before the Theory and From Operator to Management. Until that curriculum is complete, private organizational work can still be designed around specific client needs.
